As the other commenter has stated, it’s not about the gravity - because you have to ultimately counter that gravity to escape. But it is about the kinetic energy of the planet as it orbits.

For you
I have looked up the productivity differences in working with and without internet for the programming industry. The main finding is that majority of programmers think that the internet boosts their productivity and collaboration.
Needles to say, it seems like your argument is focused on yourself rather than the whole industry.
Exactly, it’s how technological evolution works. We found a much more effective and productive way to work and live, so why would we revert back to the “old days”.
Also doesn’t mean people taught to use the internet in its full capacity are inferior - they’re just focusing on what is important.

The better way is to refer them to minors as this is what they legally are, but even so ‘teenagers’ is how they should be referred to.
It’s probably a lot better to let kids (teens) explore nudity and sex in a safe environment, instead of letting them go unsupervised in places that ignore the law.
Absolutely. It’s only natural for teens/adolescents to be interested in that kind of stuff - they are transitioning into adulthood ffs.

sleen@lemmy.zipto Technology@lemmy.world•4chan refuses to pay UK Online Safety Act fines, asks Trump admin to interveneEnglish111·11 days agoWhy, because they are opposing the safety act just like we are. It just seems a bit naive.
Which is also simple and elegant

Crypto is difficult for newcomers and it is easy to do something that you didn’t want to.
Another problem is with standardization, there are too many tokens available. Monero seems like the way but people still view bitcoin as THE coin - despite its many issues.

sleen@lemmy.zipto Technology@lemmy.world•Microsoft Is Now Being Sued Over Sunsetting Windows 10English0·21 days agoI don’t exactly know how the drivers didn’t interfere as I have never done any specific fixes to it. In windows I’ve ran some debloating scripts but I don’t know if that’s the reason, as it seems more deeply rooted.
I have always dual booted from separate drives since I started using linux. I used Ubuntu, arch and finally settled on fedora. In conclusion, dual booting has never been a problem for me.
sleen@lemmy.zipto Technology@lemmy.world•Microsoft Is Now Being Sued Over Sunsetting Windows 10English0·21 days agoYou can dual boot using separate drives. This has worked for me without any issues and I routinely use solidworks.
This isn’t only an issue with Linux, it’s an issue within the whole technology industry. Simple things like Wi-Fi cards and the like, should be all standardized.
Hardware shouldn’t be catered to any particular os.
