Israeli officials confirmed a shocking assassination attempt on Hamas negotiators in Qatar, disrupting peace talks. With US involvement suspected, is this a dangerous game of deception?
I think part of the point is that bombing the negotiating team that you’re saying you’re trying to get a “ceasefire” with, and then just straight-up claiming “Yeah we had every right to do that so fuck you,” is a new low even by the standards of geopolitics.
And then a further point is that they are not a superpower, or even a regional power like Iran. They’re relying solely on US support to get away with shit like this, where almost all countries of their size would face serious consequences of some sort for it.
Is that a rhetorical question?
Because US and Russia have been getting away with killing people in other country forever. Before, the west Europe in Africa? China in Tibet?
Most of these countries label themselves superpower for a reason.

Israel is surely acting like a great power while using American geopolitical capital.
US is infiltrated to the point where the regime doesn’t act american self interest. It acts for the benefit of israel first.
