Democratic Whip Katherine Clark of Massachusetts called Israel’s war on Gaza a genocide Thursday night, making her the highest-ranking House Democratic official to do so.

Up to this point, Clark has largely aligned with the rest of Democratic leadership on Israel’s war – expressing concern for civilian harm, advocating for an “end to the hostilities” (and, eventually calling for a ceasefire), and criticizing the Benjamin Netanyahu government. But she has fallen short of advocating for conditioning or ending aid to Israel, or supporting resolutions like Rep. Delia Ramirez’s “Block the Bombs” Act.

AIPAC features Clark on their website alongside the five other top Republicans and Democrats in the House, with the caption: “We stand with those who stand with Israel.”

So genocide is not a dealbreaker for her? That’s actually worse than refusing to call it a genocide.

Sort of like how our reasoning for invading Iraq in '03 was “Preemptive War” to prevent Saddam Hussein from attacking our allies first.

The Israeli genocide of Gaza is regularly framed in the context “Palestinians want to kill all of us, so this is the only way to stop them.”

It’s not a dealbreaker for her voters. Politicians can have one stance on a subject but it is their job to do what their constituents want them to do.

Does “the left” have any singular representation at all? Anyone? Looking for a name, a public figure. A political figure. Anybody.

The point is not worshipping idols. It is following ideals. Anyone deviating from those ideals will instantly be cast to the wayside

Currently Zohran Mamdani is the best Democrat representation for the left if you really want a D in front of their name. At least for now.

“The Point” is a practical plan for winning elections.

Ffs the only thing these “lefties” have is non-stop shit for all Democrats and absolutely nothing for how to take power (other than the idiot fantasy “let’s start a violent revolution and seize control” crowd who can’t even do five push-ups and don’t own a gun).

If elections are not of interest to these people, then they should offer an alternative or shut the fuck up. “Democrat lib cucks love genoside” yeah yeah we got it, they’re idiots. Excuse us while we effect some actual goddamned change.

You’re a prolific critic, yet can’t stomach criticism? Lame.

You’ve made a name for yourself, and your efforts have proven your intent. You are no friend of progressives.

I show up asking what the great alternative to supporting a Democratic candidate is and there - so far - is Never.Anything.

So what’s the difference between the so-called progressives and those that keep MAGAts in power? Nothing.

What, that you’re clueless puritans with a hate boner for compromise and the closest thing you can think of to a political leader is a mayoral candidate? Yeah, I read it, so what? You realize the midterms are barely a year away, right.

If all you care about is winning elections, well you could just: become a Republican. They win plenty of elections
