You know, I decided to think about our future utopia and realized - look, we have AI that could really solve humanity’s problems and give us a chance for a bright future, but it is used for all sorts of nonsense like generating images and other creative and intellectual work, as well as for surveillance, which in the long term is suicide.
Our damn rare earth resources are finite and non-renewable. What will we do when this fake god runs out of resources? Will we sit like beggars without any technology, living like in the Middle Ages or even worse?
This isn’t fascism anymore, it’s worse, much worse, it’s a f****** Second Tower of Babel! If we sit and do nothing, our descendants have no future! We must resist this with all our might while we still can!
On the other hand, what can we do with these fascists? Eliminate one, and another will appear in his place, only maybe even worse and crazier. “They need power for the sake of even more power, there is nothing higher.”

No, we don’t. We have overmarketed multidimensional statistical analysis algorithms that are being used to generate large volumes of plausible-sounding bullshit.
Machine learning cannot produce any new insights, it can only ingest and regurgitate existing data. The output from these programs is the equivalent of throwing all the contents of your refrigerator into a blender, straining out some of larger chunky bits and then calling the result a home-cooked meal.
Hmm, it’s hard to disagree. That’s exactly what AI is for now: it can steal anyone’s style if it collects enough data about them. So yes, it’s not consciousness yet, but it’s a very good imitator.
In essence, it will never have a consciousness similar to human consciousness; it will be a software consciousness, so to speak, or alien, but most likely it will be software.
Suicide isnt the answer
I too am attempting to figure out how to best navigate this new world, my hope is that there is a path that i can walk which still preserves most of the quality of life ive enjoyed so far in our old flawed system, and which counters the strength of this new techno fuedal world thats being built - or at least does not continue to empower it, and also, one which does empower a more solarpunk future and life which i do want to live.
How im finding that path currently is first, understanding what reality is now and what i actually want - but be careful here to not completely devote all your time and energy to just understanding, least those insights never turn to action
Then, im taking little steps, the smallest steps that i can, within this system, but towards my solarpunk ideals, and against the technofuedalist ideals
For me, that means growing a small garden, self hosting some services, going to at least one local politics meeting a month - it also means canceling some subscriptions, not eating some foods, and not consuming ads and using various tools to reduce my information footprint
They’re small steps, but i can tell that theyre building a foundation and momentum, that backlog of experience and resilience which can be drawn on, so that bigger steps, such as quiting my corporate job, moving to a larger property with land to homestead on, and more deeply integrating with the community is a smaller and smaller gap until im able to get to the point where in able to make that leap

Suicide in the worst case scenario when there is no longer an opportunity to fight, but while there is an opportunity, I will fight.

Drop hundreds, maybe thousands of papers “fascism is paving the way to our end, and Trump is the comitted felon at its head” or something, somewhere in the city with no surveillance at night, and let the wind do the rest of the job. Antifa Readers will know they have an ally, and undecided ones may join the side.
