For fans of Peaky Blinders, Boardwalk Empire, Warrior, Man in the High Castle or indeed neo-noir as a genre. It follows a troubled detective and a police clerk/working girl born into poverty in late-stage Weimar Germany. It deals with the emergence of the Nazis and the breakdown of Weimar democracy.

Not as good, but decent enough, is Shadowplay. It’s set in the immediate aftermath of WW2 and has a US detective trying to upskill a Berlin police unit and find his psychotic brother.
In the US that show is called The Defeated.
It stars Tylor Kitsch who spent a lot of time perfecting a “Brooklyn” accent. It was a bit jarring as it is a harsh accent. The trouble is Logan Marshall-Green didn’t and it really tripped up the show.
The story is about an NYC cop, Kitsch, coming to Berlin to reconstruct the Berlin Police Department with his own side mission to find is lost brother, Marshall-Green, who is hunting down and killing Nazi leaders.
They should have had the same accent and the story with the brother was just bad. It was half baked and really silly.
