Tik tok submitted to the US government (probably for a massive bribe) so it’s here to stay so long as people keep using it.

What? They haven’t changed anything since they were supposed to be banned.

Trump just keeps pushing back the deadline. Right now it’d be banned Sept 17th, but presumably he’ll push it back again.

It’s just too popular for the administration to take the flak for it disappearing while they’re in office

The app broke for a few days with a message kissing Dump’s ass, and when it came back, all videos that mentioned fascism had been removed

Tictok shutdown for a week or however long it was. Then we see it’s CEO sitting alongside Trump, Zuck and the rest of the oligarchs at the inauguration. Shortly after, the service goes live again followed by user complaints about their feeds being different.

It’s not confirmed but the theory is that tictok is now feeding data to meta, or even running off their servers entirely, so that the US government has easy access to everything.

tiktok is the kim kardashian of social media so naturally the government likes to keep it around to keep people dumb
