- If you screw it down it’s pretty solid though. 
- Screws are temporary, nails are permanent is how I see people rationale it.

- As an non-native speaker “nailed it” for me as good as only exists in his ironic or sarcastic incarnation. So both “screw up” and “nailed it” would be used in a negative way, but in a different context - As a native speaker, nailed it is not always sarcastic. - E.g. “Did you see that shot he took from mid court? He fucking nailed it!”
