The same election where the conservatives tried to go with MAGA-style culture wars. So if I had to guess, there may be an element of fatigue with the strategy of cosying up with the far right fringes shown in the result of the poll.
And yet they still didn’t get the message. After their disastrous loss, there were still many in the party that said it was because they didn’t go far enough right…
