Living in WA state you are screwed both directions. Gas prices have skyrocketed and so has cost of nearly every service as they start factoring in the new carbon tax.
Also WA state, I saw the writing on the wall years ago and started investing to get as offgrid as i could. I’m entirely electric independent with solar and battery now, switched everything to as efficient as i could sources (heatpump on anything i can like hot water) working on rainwater collection and filtering atm. Have the filtering and just using it on the city water just need to setup the collection of rainwater
My bill remains the same.
Fast forward to me in 2029 keeping costs down.

There are only three things you need to know about Trump: (1) he always fails, (2) he always lies and (3) he always chickens out.
Unfortunately, he doesn’t always chicken out; he’s willing to do real damage whenever it creates profits for the people who bribed him.
Saying he’s prepared to be a metaphorical wrecking ball is not the same as saying he doesn’t always chicken out. When it comes to taking a stand on anything you can always rely on him chickening out and taking the option least resistance. He’s more than happy to ensure that his minions are blamed for his actions as long as he isn’t personally affected. The whole Epstein saga is a classic example. Sow fear, doubt and uncertainty then, come crunch time, let his Muppets take the fall.
