Peacemaker s02. Another banger of an intro dancewise, musicwise definitely doesn’t hit as well as “do you wanna taste it”.
A little disapointed at how ep 1 ended - was hoping it would go a little different.
twisted metal keeps getting better and better. god i love this cliche ass show. just pure awesome put to screen
Yes! They definitely found their groove this season. Both the writing and acting feels much more natural all around.
Foundation. Just finished Murderbot yesterday; pretty good.
I’m glad to see another person who enjoys high quality entertainment
Ongoing:
- DepartQ: This is a really fun show… Brits do love thier cop shows but this one is firing on all cylinders.
- Dope Girls: I am on the fifth episode and it is very good. It is very much knock-Off Stephen Knight show, though.
- A Thousand Blows: The story is getting pretty thin, but true to form with all Stephen Knight shows the cast is what carries the show. Erin Doherty is spectacular, and Stephen Graham is his usual excellence. I am loving this show but it is Stephen Knight 101, paper thin story, great dialogue constant blaring out of context music.
- Andor: Tonight I will watch Episode 7 or 8 and what is there to say. I do not want this show too end and every episode is better than the last.
- Into The Storm. It is a docuseries that uses multiple cameras to show you natural disasters. It is short on information and long on destruction porn.
New Shows:
- High Country: I made it about one episode in. I usually give a show three episodes but good lord this show is like watching molasses flow in winter.
- Alien Earth: I did the first two episodes and it isn’t working for me. I am going to give it one more before I decide. I suspect my issue with this show is that I am just done with all things Alien.
Discontinued:
- Smoke: MEH…is the best I can say about this.
- Reality of The Biggest Looser: There is nothing to it, there is nothing there.
Dept q was great! Usually I give a pass to the British copper shows. But this one does indeed fire on all cylinders. Anyone looking to give it a shot, give it 2 episodes before you make up your mind.
Absolutely I pleasantly surprised by how much I’m enjoying it.
Wife has been watching Leanne while I play Easy Red 2 on steam deck. It’s an average “second screen” sitcom. Nothing special.
Continued watching The Institute. Interesting, but too early to say much.
What platform is The Institute on? I have that on my list. Though I don’t know why, I never learn my lesson with King Products.
HBO
Just finished it. It was good, maybe not great. Haven’t red the book, so can’t comment if it was well translated to film, but King himself was the executive producer and it felt whole and well directed.
It left the story very incomplete, so waiting for second season.
I’m watching Farscape on a new mission to get my nerd card punched by catching up on sci-fi classics. It’s interesting so far, and I think I can make it to the end if Claudia Black carries me all the way.
Finished all but the last 2 episodes (so far) of Alexandra Ehle - awesome show, funny with well written characters (Fun fact, the showrunner is the writer of the fantastic Mystère à la tour Eiffel (2017) movie) Almost finished season 3 of Soko Potsdam - not as good as the first 2 seasons but still great Also watching a German lawyer comedy Family Justice (Kanzlei Berger) 2021 - So good that I cannot believe there wasn’t a second season
