That doesn’t bother fascists. The whole reason that calling them weird was so effective is that fascism relies on the belief that they’re the only normal ones.
As the other commenter said, that has been shown to be inefficient. Some people even wear it with pride. They’re ignorant- they don’t know the weight of certain words because they don’t know any history and lack any empathy -so we have to make do with what works, and what gets them is calling them what, in their feeble minds, is associated with weakness : weird. Queer. Sensitive. etc.
