As I’ve got older I’ve found myself much more firmly in the camp of “if reading spoilers can ruin something that thing probably isn’t great in the first place”. I remember seeing Breaking Bad spoilers posted by a troll on reddit before getting to the last few episodes and you know what? It was still perfectly good
I generally agree, but I can name a few exceptions:
Detective stories, like Knives Out
Project Hail Mary
Outer Wilds
There’s an excitement that comes with not knowing the ending. I get to try to solve the mystery before it’s revealed. But yeah, if they’re good stories, I’l stilll enjoy them the second time I experience them.
