      Truth. I have a core memory of breaking the family computer, saving all files to floppies, reinstalling windows and software, then restoring settings and files before my parents found out I broke the computer to avoid getting into trouble. Eventually became an IT guy.

        Doesn’t always work, though. I remember I broke a pen as a kid while trying to take it apart. I knew my mom liked that pen, so I took apart another pen to try to fix the original. I broke that pen too and ended up just taping them back together and hoping she wouldn’t notice.
