I am hijacking my own comment here. Apparently the occupancy of Las Vegas hasn’t really shifted at all since the 90s. What the guy in the video is saying is true enough but I think the video is still a little sensationalised.

Okay final draft: The truth is more complicated than that. Apparently the visitation rates are still the same. It’s the gaming revenue that’s down. Which you can see down here here. Which makes sense I suppose. So apparently people are still visiting Vegas they’re just not gambling as much any more (or people have just gotten more and more lucky over the years 🙃).
