I’m really glad that I got someone else to play it. I was very moved by the story in that game. It was so incredibly hopeless, and somehow that hopelessness is what made the game so incredible.

By the way, since you liked the game, the Swedish scifi movie “Aniara” gave me the same feeling of hopelessness as SOMA. I fully recommend it.

Well to be fair, this community used to be really good memes. Then it devolved into actual shitposts about beans and moths and other stuff that’s not funny after the 2nd time. So now it really is just a fucking trash community, full of AI slop, political crap, and actual useless shitposts. So the people downvoting may miss the time when the content was actually good memes. Thanks for mansplaining how to use Lemmy. Seriously though, it’s not that i care about downvotes, but rather I would prefer someone offer an actual counter-point vs simply downvoting. If something I say is wrong or bad then i want to know why. If what the other people say are reasonable then i may adjust my viewpoint.

Also sometimes I want to edit my comment to clarify something. If i feel that i misrepresented what I was trying to say (i.e. that most anime, not ALL anime have fanservice) then why wouldn’t I want to edit the post? Otherwise I’m purposely letting people misunderstanding one of the things I said. That doesn’t make much sense to do.

I never said every anime has it. But the vast majority do.

I like DB/DBZ and some anime, but holy shit is anime fucking cringe. Even modern anime. It always throws off the mood. Like you’ll have some serious anime with real serious themes, and all of a sudden the main character will like grab some girl’s boobs and make a goofy sound (or some other variation of cringe fan service) and you’re just like “wut?”
