It’s been my whole life so far and things take three steps back for every half step forward. I’m ready for guillotines. I don’t want to waste my whole life voting for the lesser evil and praying for gradual reform but getting the greater evil anyway. My seemingly incurable social ineptitude and speaking skills haven’t helped any attempts to take direct action while taking the moral high ground. There are more people wanting to undermine the optimal system for meaningless hate and personal gain every day and if I’m going to die and hope the next generation has it better I want to take everyone undeserving that would greedily ruin things for everyone else with me.

If my deck can’t handle a game('s lack of optimization) I move to desktop. Or if it’s a visual artsy game I play on desktop. The most egregious fsr glorpination in recent memory was water in horizon forbidden west. When I first saw the beaches I thought it looked like utter shit but when I switched to actual rendering it was suddenly one of the best video game beaches ever.

But yeah basically everything that moves looks like shit, and anything bigger than a steam deck display makes it easier to tell something is fucked. I’ll check out fsr 4 but I don’t have high expectations.

the only reason to switch for me was if it was a better visual reference for alignment of glitch maneuvers or if the collisions were off by too much. For me nostalgia filter makes the original look better in my memories than when I actually go look at it again, and if the game is 100% identical under the hood I will exploit every bug and glitch out of habit even if I don’t want to.

I suppose with a game that old there is a good chance of something similar to what happened to majora’s mask 3ds happening (character movement worse, boss mechanics dumbed down to the point of being insulting but also not even working well) if they were to change much more.

Halo 2 anniversary was good but I’m one of those people that would have preferred halo 1 campaign remade in the halo 2 engine instead of having a visual overlay with the collisions from the original models

its my favourite spider-man/hulk type game. other titles like prototype and game I can’t remember the name of just felt like spider-man with non marvel characters but gravity rush actually felt like something new. I spent a good chunk of time rolling around in a ball on the floor using the vita motion controls. I also still have a ptsd reaction from the lava area music and how cursed of the lava area was.

and while gravity rush 2 had a kinda mediocre ending and the server shutdown prevented getting all the costumes, the end of the intro sequence blew me away.

is it a different situation than the lcd model? there are patches for ram increase and different display that can be applied to the lcd model but you have to disable auto update and manually install patched updates though I’m pretty sure there haven’t been any recent ones

honestly as much as I liked the recent god of war and spider-man games I’d sacrifice all of them and ff7 remakes for gravity rush on pc
