It was awful. God fearing Americans had to stop owning slaves, find ways to pick cotton, work the land, clean their homes. To make it worse, blacks, Asians and others got RIGHTS! Hells bells, actual rights. Those rights didn’t take away the rights of other Americans, but still unfair and even now, white America has to compete with the former slaves to earn money to live. The EU is not playing hardball. We (UK) fucked them. It cost them. This is insurance. We all pay insurances based upon our history of risk. Bad car drivers pay higher insurance premiums. That said, we do need to have a writing down of the clause impact after a period of time to align with other nations within the EU.
