Aren’t CVE grades meaningless anyway with how they are declared in real world?
That reminds me of how a few years back I wanted to keep a dream journal to learn lucid dreaming. One morning I got out of the bed writing down the dream(s?) I had in detail and was happy with how much I wrote down. Then some time later I woke up with my notes nowhere to be seen to find out that I wrote the notes in a fucking dream, fuck. I’m still disappointed about that. I don’t even remember what the dream was about. I probably would remember if I had the notes. >:(
On my free trial of kagi the official docs are the very first result without any lenses or settings. I will be buying subscription soon because while not always but sometimes the results are better by a long shot over ddg and google for me.
That’s great to hear. Thank you for sharing.
I was asking specifically about other “platforms” besides piefed because I’m curious how supported are emoji reactions across the fediverse. I had around a year of break form the fediverse so I’m a bit ootl on recent developments.
Do they federate with any other platforms?

I don’t want bots engagement farming here…
E: Unless it’s the same person with a new account then it’d be fine. I just don’t want to end up in a situation whese half top post are from bots and karma farmers. :/
E2: Just learned of how widespread this post is on the internet so I’m on the fence now.

Isn’t ltsc frozen in features with only security updates or something?

What story?

Car centric infrastructure, yo. The less of it the less of such “accidents” happening.

Hitting obscure issues with limited documentation and barely any forum discussions on it in search results is killing me though. But at the same time NixOS makes a lot of things incredibly easy and offloads having to remember any changes so it’s worth all the effort for me.

I straight up quit lemmy for almost a year due to people pushing stuff so hard where even unrelated communities weren’t safe from anything and no one would care because c/all would act as one feed anyway. It really does feel like people want to be outraged for the sake of outraging rather than wanting to change something for the better while doing it at the cost of undermining what they wish to “protect”.
And here I assumed 10 hours ago that it’s some super complex high dimensional shape with a fancy name.

I see what’s happening here as part of that societial failing that you speak of and I don’t see the issue with the technology itself but how we handle it. There’s no single reason for why things are this bad but it’s a death by 749268 cuts thing. By not caring about consequences in each area, and blaming other areas of life we end up in a situation where things collectively suck purely because of our wrong priorities. There’s absolutely no reason to push out immature tech so heavily. It’s all done for profit while impacting the environment and economy very negatively. It’s not done for good of us people where something like this is an unfortunate rare accident that everyone looks into preventing in the future in a sane reasonable way. No, it’s the cost of doing business and operating our society. Safety net is not made using one single string but a whole bunch of them working together to achieve something bigger and good.

The issue there is that it feeds into those mental health issues with efficiency and on on a scale never seen before. The models are programmed to agree with the user, and they are EXTREMELY HEAVILY ADVERTISED AND SHOVED ONTO PEOPLE AROUND THE WHOLE GLOBE DESPITE IT BEING WELL KNOWN HOW LIMITED AND PROBLEMATIC THE TECHNOLOGY IS WHILE THE CORPORATIONS DON’T TAKE ANY RESPONSIBILITY AT ALL. Anything from violating rights and privacy by gathering any and all data they can on you to situations like these where people hurt themselves (suicide, health advice, etc.) or others. But sure, let’s be ignorant, do some victim blaming and disregard the bigger picture there.
Attention economy.
