In ancient celtic culture comedians were very powerful figures. I heard they were forbidden from having heirs, like clergy, because fhey were so powerful. They could topple kings with fhwir skills.

The biggest threat to dictators and fascists are journalists. and comedians are the new journalist.

That’s a refreshingly respectful take.

I know a few Goth women that dislike how their subculture has been the subject of a fetish. But a deep respect for the power and independence of Goths is not the same as the fetishization of a people and comes from a more constructive place, I would guess. Not the same as ‘yellow fever’ for Asian women for example.

That’s why we are accused of being the brides of Satan. They can’t imagine how we have gained our power without having that particular male figure in their equation. It’s a hatred of women at its core. Countless knowledge keepers, herbalists and medicine women have been crushed by their hatred of women.

Part of our national identity is not being the USA. We’re like the bratty younger sister that thinks we’re better, but is cut from the same cloth. Now we are getting warmer and warmer weather, that used to belong to the States. Our population hugs the Southern border, but the area with nice weather will expand as will our value and capabilities.
