The real misconception is that breaking encryption in the big services including Signal and Telegram would stop criminals from using encryption. 2gb ram with a window manager is enough for 4-5 tabs, however if it has a single core 32 bit cpu the modern internet is borderline unusable already. The memory capacity is a non issue in that case.
