There used to be a time when things were made to last. I still have a refrigerator that is older then my parents. It’s perfectly repairable but consumes a bit of electricity but it’s better then buying a new one every 5 years and throwing the old one in a dump.

I go outdoors for days on end to get away from the hustle of life, and they pretty much already have. Let me give you a few examples.

Your handicapped? Well let’s slap a gate here so handicapped accessible vehicles can’t get through, but a 4x4 can just go around the gate. Most of the time there isn’t even a boulder or fence stopping that from happening.

You want to camp overnight out in the woods with just a tarp and bivvy sack? Well you better hand over that money, oh and your going to do it were we tell you too. (I just camp wherever, some good camouflage is all you need)

God damnit I have to use a QR code to get a pass WHEN THERE IS NO CELLULAR SIGNAL ON ALL MAJOR CARRIERS. (sorry, just hate how stupid some people are)

I had a person park in front of my driveway, throw on hazards and disappear for an hour and their battery ended up dying. She ended up walking up to the door and asking for a jump. I declined help and somewhat politely informed her not to park in front of driveways.

We have a small herd of deer that comes through our yard and we leave corn out in the winter and in the summer fill up a boulder that was carved out like a bowl over many years of sitting in a creek.

We have names for a few of them

• round ear (she has round ears, and is very old)
• chicky mama (she has at least 1 fawn every year)
• limpy ( she got hit by a car and now has a limp
• ticks ( this is the unlucky one that gets all the ticks)
