I would watch the cybernetic olympics.

Yes. I haven’t cried in about 20 years. Tried my best at my dad’s funeral. I don’t have a story that brings sense into it, it’s like I just grew out of emotions.
I’ve been thinking about this in the context of research project applications, which often have to be dozens of pages long and every sentence perfectly formulated to show we are competent and tick all the boxes. Now we can just have AI do it. I’m waiting patiently for people to realize this and start an era of post-perfectionism.
I want my applications to be like this:
“So we’ve published some papers in clay chemistry now [1-4], and lots of things have been done by others lately [5,6], so i was thinking i could work together with Mike Hunt over at University of Stoneworthingtonham to expand those ideas and also see what happens when you put the clay in an oven. Could we get some cash for that?”
(Instead of putting the same thing into an AI and have it write it professionally)

We wouldn’t forget this soon. And king Harald is 88 years old, so it won’t be long before his son takes over. If she becomes his queen, she would be an unpopular one.

Why? They want their millitary officers to stay racist, so it’s easier for them to adopt a “us and them” mindset?

Ah, I recognize their cool flag from my vexillology days. 🤓

I suggest people should just stop doing that.

They should stop calling them GPUs. Maybe PPU (parallel processing unit) would work as a general term. But there’s higher chance of someone using something like AIPU as a marketing term.

If everyone agreed to move, there would be no problem (as long as the Fediverse can accomodate everyone).
There’s precedent. There was a myriad of social media sites Worldwide at some point. Then in a few years everyone “agreed” to move to Facebook. There are stories of how they aggressively took over markets, but at the end of the day I supposed they had the technically best site. And after over a decade of decay, people are still stuck.

I joined today! I tried to post some images, but could only have one image per post. Then someone was rude, and I wasn’t able to downvote him. I keep refreshing the front page, but nothing happens since there’s no algorithm, the latest posts just stay there.
I think I’ll stick around here in parallel to Reddit. Maybe some day I’ll understand how instances and all of that works.

That’s quite a sensible regulation. You’ll more often hear about what things China doesn’t regulate, so I’m glad to hear of a pro-consumer law coming into effect.

The hats from the article are not the same type of hats though. They resemble the Canadian toque, I suppose, or in Norway, “lue”. Similarly we would call the MAGA dome + sun shade kind of hat “caps”.
Same. I tried really hard to learn it but gave up in frustration. 5ish years with plenty of computer use later I suddenly found myself typing without looking.
