I think we have different definitions of what passing knowledge, and familiarity. I think what OP is saying is that folks should leave college knowing how to think and reason mathmatically, philosophically, and scientifically. Everyone knows you don’t actually learn anything in undergrad, but you should at least know how to problem solve in your field. OP is just saying that maybe that problem solving should cast a wider net, I think.

Why should they? Everything is multidisciplinary. Even a pure mathematician needs to know how to communicate their ideas within their field.

I thought the bed size was chosen as standard so it would fit a standard 4x8 sheet of plywood. What’s the point of it can’t fit that?

I literally don’t use soap or conditioner in my hair except right before I get it cut. They are always like “wow! You have such healthy hair!” Your hair will take care of itself.

Ah I get it now, yup that is shitty. I have some compassion for someone who was stupid enough as a kid to enlist. But only for active members? Love how in America we all get fucked over, unless you win the wealth lottery.

Maybe I’m weird, but I guess I don’t care about military discounts. I probably just don’t have much experience with veterans. But like we give senior citizens discounts some places, because it’s expected they don’t have much money. And there’s lots of old folks who need it. Haven’t military folks traditionally had a hard time reintegrating? Like isn’t that the plot of “the forever war”? If it helps the ones who need it then good. Helping people in need is a good thing. I’m probably missing something so let me know what it is.
