Er, A&E nurse talking here. They are. They knowingly endanger other people. You can’t always guarantee clear streets. I still wake in the night from dealing with the aftermath of the Bristol Middleway incident. Half of the deaths were innocent bystanders.

Gotta admit, that is some absolute master skippering by the captain of the coastguard boat. Two significantly bigger and faster ships with a hard on for him and he just skillfully ran them into each other. Brilliant.
For controller sure, but bear in mind if you’re looking at something like a wheel with force feedback, and pedals with pressure sensitive response, that changes more than just button presses
Edit: to be clear I’m not defending the shit in this article in question. Just that some of the stuff they do may actually need a driver. But not everything…
