genuine curiosity, why would you want to continue using a broken system with all of its guardrails for fascism broken off?

“anti-DNC propoganda”
"Every single person who ever shared an anti Biden or Harris meme or spoke critically of them publicly before the election contributed to this problem. "
holy america-brain. you’re not making your “democratic” party sound very democratic.
i would put the blame on anybody that voted for and supports trump, not on the people saying neither of the candidates in your 2-party system is a good representative. like i understand the argument to choose between the lesser of two evils, but why are you dying on the hill of which evil you choose? more importantly why are you villainizing the people fighting for a better choice, and instead standing by a party that ignores criticisms to be less evil?
i would wager Right Wing Think Tanks love YOU blaming the anti-fascists instead of… the fascists. especially you scapegoating other progressives and the rhetoric of uncritical support for YOUR leader: “blue” no matter who, huh?
it’s long past due for the usa to dismantle the flawed 2 party system. having to choose bewteen more or less genocide is not a democracy for those that are anti-genocide. yall gotta see past your current failing system and fight for broader ideals of accountable representation and anti imperialism.
OP, all the bots are digital ghosts haunting you until you resolve their unfinished business
HAPPY SPOOKY SEASON!!!👻🎃

i have a friend that used to work at a hotdog stand in antarctica, and he’d let huge containers of the unholy water freeze outside to carve ice sculptures, igloos and such. sometimes, colonies of penguins pass by and he’ll sell hundreds of thousands of hotdogs, then launch little icebergs of all the frozen waste water. does that make all the oceans tainted?
woah that’s so cool, so the expanding steam is making a barrier across the surface of the skin!?!?
if you shot a durian at the sun, how close could it get before burning up?
would it form a tiny atmosphere with microscopic weather patterns and have a comets tail of steam?

Not great jobs but jobs.1·14 days agocurrently rewatching the show firefly rn, but after i will start The expanse. ive seen other mentions of it around here on lemmy, and they always avoid revealing spoilers so i will too.
so this is just a general question shooting off of your edit: i wonder what a baby born and grown in higher-than-earth g’s would be like?
loldog191@lemmy.cato Showerthoughts@lemmy.world•Education doesn't increase intelligence by making people memorize things, but by constantly reminding people that they might be wrong.3·15 days agoi think you have a narrow view of what education is. this is subjective but my view of education is that it’s an emergent property; as long as there’s different individuals that know different skills, natural networks will form of people teaching to anyone that wants to learn.
whether it’s institutions with professors teaching about quantum physics and brain surgery, to herds of dinosaurs teaching groups of young their migration paths and dangers to avoid; it’s all within my personal concept of what education is
loldog191@lemmy.cato Political Memes@lemmy.ca•The Liberals and Republicans Can Agree on One Thing...31·15 days agonothing is futile, convince other voters that the MP isn’t listening and shouldn’t be your representative anymore. if your mind is set for giving up on government action, then support third party organizations that build ev chargers and teach people how to run and maintain them and stuff. i agree that we need more accountability for elected officials, but to get electoral reform you still need your MP to vote for it. i don’t think it’s good to completely give up on participating as a citizen within a state, though we still need some direct action as a form of direct democracy outside of established structures and systems
loldog191@lemmy.cato Showerthoughts@lemmy.world•Space colonization would create so many jobs for everyone. Not great jobs but jobs.2·15 days agohow far into the future is this set? is it possible medical science gets advanced enough to surgically implant a robot skeleton that can repair itself and grow with the person? if these belters make a universal healthcare system, they could have free cybernetic surgeries for masses of belters able to withstand surface gravity of planets. should i just watch it, is the expanse a good show?
loldog191@lemmy.cato Showerthoughts@lemmy.world•Shipping costs will no longer exist if teleportation is invented.1·15 days agowait so if data is like dna, does that make computers like plants with their pollen being data packets like memes, articles, and videos… and we’re the pollinators?
wait, i thought the meme in the og post is about Democratic incompetence in fighting fascism, and how they’ll even sit on their hands and do nothing. is the reason you blindly support them because you do the same thing, yet somehow think they’ll do all the work to fix everything if you just vote for them? you just want a Democrat Strongman/person to come in and set everything right if you just give them full control? well surprise, that’s still fascism. that plan where “nobody has to suffer and everyone is equal” isn’t working because while you’re waiting to vote, millions of people cast as “unequal and inferior” suffer. and then AFTER you vote, your government will still be killing people around the world, and imprisoning people into ICE camps and industrial prison complexes, and perpetuating the exploitation of yourselves and others.
alright, i’m pretty done with this convo/argument, so i’ll give some final comments and leave in peace. i will say sorry, for how harsh my words were; i probably could’ve said things in a gentler way but i just can’t find those words still. voting is important, so it’s frustrating to be saying that it’s currently an unfair and broken system, yet be told to continue participating and accept it as normal. yall need to take collective action for labour strikes, weapons shipment blockades, community organizing and creating networks of care; the rest of the world is.
but anyways, i sincerely wish the best for you. bye✌️
