That hasn’t been my experience so far, but luckily for you, me, and everyone else… The fediverse doesn’t rely on any single instance as an unquestionable single channel of information.
If your takeaway from my comment is to criticize the content of any one server (or even any one software), you’re missing the point of open source software entirely.
Try that shit on the fediverse, chump.
Trump the the Republicans are, one-by-one, silencing their most vocal critics and dissenters. They started with news media, then they moved to entertainment media, and from there they will move on to corporate social media next. This is state control of media and blatant censorship of criticism. End of story.
I’m not even exaggerating when I say that the Fediverse will be the last bastion of free speech and political criticism on the internet, because the same pressures that Trump and the Republicans can apply to Paramount and Disney, they can also apply to Reddit, Meta, X, and Oracle. Corporate will ALWAYS capitulate to fascism–they aren’t even bothering to fight back–because the only thing they care about in the slightest is money.
Speaking of which… What’s the least invasive way of installing Windows 11?
My main desktop has a Linux and Windows 10 dual-boot setup, but I was thinking about switching to something like Windows To Go when Windows 10 hits EOL, only to find that WTG is no longer supported. I’ve heard that it’s still possible to make a bootable Windows 11 USB using Rufus, but that it’s somehow finicky or buggy…
I’m not sure if using a VM is a viable option for me, as I would probably need GPU passthrough and I really only have space for a single GPU in my current case (that would be used by my Linux host).
Am I stuck dual-booting?
Keeps guns out of this
Nothing wrong with liking guns. Just don’t act all surprised when someone takes a hot one to the neck, that’s all I’m saying. Guns are designed for killing.
Some day rhetoric becomes reality, and the guns are there for more than just show and tell. I would only pick up a gun if I intended to kill something, just like I would only pick up a guitar if I intended to play a song. Americans who parade around with guns like fashion accessories are nothing short of delusional and detached from the reality of the weapons they possess.
Charlie Kirk’s rhetoric caught up to him. Surprise?
You thought a “culture war” would never turn into a “war war”?
Aren’t you the fucking clowns that just declared war on Chicago and Portland like a week ago?
Wait you mean the guy who made a free and open source operating system for everyone to share is left wing!?!?!? WHAT THE FFUUUU
Despite being nearly 100 years old, Brave New World (1931), written by Aldous Huxley, covers the idea of class-based genetic engineering and genetics based class definition, as one of its core themes.
