No, I physically connect the drive, backup my files, then disconnect and swap out for the off-site drive.
I have 2 external SSDs that I rotate keeping them offline and one offsite.
I backup weekly though my most used files are synced online so is sufficient for my use case.
Edit: I use Syncthing to backup photos/videos from phones to my laptop so they’re included in the above.

I worked a factory job for several years that had nearly unrestricted internet and the ability to install programs. There’s a LOT of options here depending on your technical skill and what you’re able to get away with. One of my favs was setting up a remote connection to my home network so I could work on project there without much fuss on the work computers and was easy to just close the connection if needed.
Also games. I played a lot of games… even designed some with all the time we had.
Learning web development was my most productive though; I was able to contribute to the company and got promoted to IT which launched my career to where I am now.
This was me. At first I automated some commonly used spreadsheets and then made some simple web tools to help our team which eventually led to getting to their IT department and now I work from home full time as a developer.
Emulators, whether installed locally or played via an online version, are great too - replayed Ocarina of Time over night shift and was awesome for getting through that time
Yeah my kiddos were born when I was 15 and 17. Wife and I dated all of high school and planned to marry anyways.
At 18 I was married with 2 kids. I skipped college to focus on work and providing for my family.

Agreed. For anything beyond the simplest setup membership is the way to go especially if near enough to some of the cheaper options; we had a Planet Fitness open near us that offers $10/month for lowest tier membership (prior it was YMCA at $70/month for the family).

Blades are extremely cheap and always gives a great shave.

Gym memberships add up quick so went with a cheaper elliptical and a nice set of adjustable dumbbells.

As I get more into reading I’ve come to appreciate that this one allows loading my own ebooks from my PC which can save a ton depending on use case.

I’m in a similar situation currently hosting Pihole on my Pi’s and Jellyfin on a SFF refurbished PC that’s running some other project. I’ve decided to go with a NUC, most likely beelink, and intend to install Proxmox to then run container VMs for each of the various projects to more easily manage them.
The board games: Nightfall, World-Z League, and Unchained.
Man… I spent a lot of time playing the original N along with some level design. Super fun times. Cool to see them still going strong.
