I’m just scared of developing Diogenes syndrome… Better to get rid of things before we develop an irrational emotional attachment to stupid material objects. A great exercise to stay humble and grateful for all we have. Also, not to have a closet full of empty crystal jars… ;D

This is happening to me with crystal jars… I have to trim the stash from time to time…

No Stupid Questions@lemmy.world•Does anyone else feel like "analog" stuff is more "tangible"?
4·1 month agoTo me balance is key. For example, I use ipods where I put all my music collection that I have backed up in several HD. There still a feeling of ownership having those mp3 files available whenever I want. Now, I also own vynils which I love listening to having a coffee in my sofa. To me that’s actually a good balance between digital and analog that actually works. Going full streaming did never satisfy me.
A literal bunch of ghouls.
Long live Samurai and Primal. I loved Dexter’s lab as a kid and the power puff girls!
2001 a space odisey or most of Tarkovsky films (even though I love the concept and I do consider them as groundbreaking for their time)… I can’t stand them. I tried.
Even when it’s a meme… This is extremely specific…

We are already living in a cristal jar, kind stranger. You just don’t know it yet.
