“The family was blindsided by this, and they ask for privacy and prayers at the time,” Kristi Noem’s representatives reacted in a statement to The New York Post.

    Fuck that noise.

Privacy for the ghoul in charge of ripping people from their homes in the middle of the night? Fuck you.

Prayers for what? To have God help them stop being shitty and hypocritical? Fuck you again.

I love how they treat a family member being outed as a cross dresser like a death in the family. That so tracks.

Honestly, this guy could have a fetish as a cuck too. That would make a lot of sense. No shame for that, but plenty of shame for telling other people that they’re evil for enjoying what they like.

Nice distraction. But isn’t the real issue murdering americans then calling them terrorists to justify it? Or forcibly deporting tons of people with no due process?

No, the problem is her husband dressed up with fake tits.

Does Lewandowski really count as her subordinate if he was the one who was running the show the whole time? all she really did was get her hair done, shoot ads for her YouTube channel, and get fucked in the back of a private jet. And then later in front of Congress.

"I don’t give a fuck who they’re screwing in private

I wanna know who they’re screwing in public"

This bitch puts children in cages. Ridicule and shame her and her family for hypocrisy all you want, it’s well deserved, but the fact that this even matters is pretty wild.

These fucking people… It’s literally all projection, always.

The party of “traditional family values,” everyone. If we manage to hold anything even remotely resembling free and fair elections in the future, the first order of business afterwards will need to be replacing all upholstery any of them have touched.

Nothing wrong with crossdressing. Though it sounds like he sent some of the pictures to others without consent which is much more of a problem of course (harassment)

But if he wants to dress up as a girl, why not.

Yes true, I saw the actual pics after. It looks less like a real crossdresser to me and rather like a sophomoric joke that leaked.

I made that point elsewhere in the thread but I hadn’t seen the pic when I made the above comment.

Cross dressing is now illegal in Ohio. In a bill that is vaguely worded and will be enforced very subjectively because nature didn’t clarify what clothes are masculine and feminine

Things are bad; I’m not going to argue that things aren’t bad. I’m not a lawyer, I eat crayons.

That Ohio bill hasn’t been passed yet. I don’t know how likely it is to pass. Too likely, I guess.

It also doesn’t dictate a blanket ban on cross-dressing. What it does do is put “performers or entertainers who exhibit a gender identity that is different from the performer’s or entertainer’s biological sex” into the category of adult entertainments like stripping, meaning it’s restricted in the same ways. No kids allowed. That’s lines 153 to 165 here.

That’s very big, it’s very bad, it’s very stupid, it’s mean, it’s anti-freedom. Un-American, I’d say. It would seem to create problems with Bugs Bunny, Harpo Marx, Monty Python, etc. But the most obvious thing it’s targeting is “Drag Queen Story Hour.”

But it isn’t a ban on cross-dressing in general. Yet.

Edit: If you live in Ohio, you can find and contact your state Senator regarding House Bill 249, the “Indecent Exposure Modernization Act,” through this page.

I don’t see a definition in the bill. I don’t know if there’s a standard legal definition for that or not.

Even a good-faith interpretation of “performer” could leave some gray areas, I’d think. A song-and-dance number for an audience gathered for the purpose is a performance with a performer, sure. What about an appearance on a talk show, an interview, a forum discussion, a podcast?

Unfortunately, “performance” is a bit of jargon for a specific, unrelated concept in contract law.

The reservations your question suggests are very reasonable. I don’t intend to dampen anyone’s alarm at this absurd effort to implement legal, systemic bullying over nothing. I just so happened to be reading about the Ohio bill shortly before I came across FreshParsnip’s comment.

Isn’t she screwing someone else anyway. All these people are hypocrites. If they say they hate cross-dressing, they love it. If they say they are Christian, they’re anything but. If they say they have good family values, they’re having affairs. Standard.

It will be interesting to see MAGA’s take on it. Is finding a new partner ok to them in this scenario, or should she be the subservient all-accepting wife?

I don’t often want to know MAGA’s opinion on anything, but to watch them come to an impassable intersection of their values will be fascinating.

Yes. It’s a feature, not a bug, and the propaganda is made to do this by design: if you can keep someone in cognitive dissonance, you can feed them whatever cognitive slop you want, and then they have to find a way to explain it to themselves and keep believing, or face the consequences of realizing the whole thing is a lie, which are usually too high to bear. And it just piles on.

This is part of why the Trump Republicans hate James Talarico so much: he is showing the MAGA crowd you can (and should) be able to keep your Christianity and still ditch Trump, the two are not connected in any actual way except by propaganda. I think urban folks don’t realize just how hard this conflation of MAGA and Christianity has been pumped in rural regions: to leave Trump is to face hellfire. To many of us that sounds ridiculous, and it is, but I’m not joking: they’ve made it so that to be Christian is to be MAGA, and to ditch Trump is to desert Christianity itself.

Strangely enough, the cognitive dissonance is also the weakest point in the whole scheme, and is why the trip out of cognitive manipulation often starts with the tiniest, often unnoticeable piece that doesn’t fit: it sticks in their head and refuses to be argued away, and then something else happens, and something else. Cult deprogramming is all about this, allowing people physical space and time to find their own way out of the mental hole without ever actually forcing them to do so.

It’s why getting rid of the news as infotainment is so critically important if we can ever get out of this mess: that’s the source of the propaganda that keeps it going for the hardcore MAGA believers no matter what their orange god does.
