I liked that the detective actually did a little bit of detecting in this one.
I liked that it showed batman as kind of an idiot being led around by the scarecrow, that this wasn’t a mature batman.
Just watched it for the first time last weekend. As someone who liked the Tim Burton Batman movies and Batman Forever, but not the Dark Knight trilogy (normally like Nolan though)… I liked it! Thought it would be too long, and maybe it should have been two movies. I also thought the constantly dark doom was probably hiding some lazy set and costume design, but I’ll take crappy practical effects over slick generative AI, and it ended up not bothering me. Just had to draw the curtains and turn out all the lights.
television?
Movie
It was a fun take. Zoë Kravitz did a great job, Bob was the most emo Batman ever which was fun, and Serkis is always fantastic.
I love the cultural ties via the Riddler’s army of 4chan red pill militia cosplayers.
Unlike batflek, they maintained rule #1.
Wasn’t for me (Shane as it was filmed In part where I live)
The music just felt constantly foreboding and the story just kind of leaked from one scene to the next?
I enjoyed seeing the penguin (not seen the show) but the rest was dragging and I didn’t really care about the story (everyone’s corrupt?).
Stopped watching after the funeral bomb part.
Should I revisit?
