Citing the “start” of Wall•E is so specific, and it’s wrong. These characters are kinda infamously only in the second half.

He might have meant the start of this segment, compared to the end where the society has grown and they walk again.

Plus, those people do exist before we see them. We just don’t learn about them until part way into the film.

The deliberate correct hyphenation character there, that’s how you know this one’s knowledge is not to be tested lol

In this context Wall—E might be more appropriate.

From itself and other AIs. What could possibly go wrong?

Set up a recurring monthly donation. It doesn’t have to be huge, I do like 5 or 10 bucks a month (I forget, because it’s automatically withdrawn).

I’ve been thinking about those guys a lot lately. Especially when the articles about AI making us dumber started coming out.

It was actually a very insightful depiction of future humans

I can’t tell you how many times the AI summary on google is just a cut and past of one of the top responses which is also often Wikipedia.

I’ve got worse news for those who think we are these people. We’re not. We are the population that is eliminated once they perfect their automations.

I’m sure that adambarta probably doesn’t see that as a problem.

Maybe he needs to have someone explain the insult to him.
