Bauer said one of the messages he’s trying to get across is that Toronto needs better transit infrastructure.
“We have so many people that use the transit to get to work and if it’s not faster than taking the car and it’s not safer than taking the car, why would they take it?”
Though he’s been an avid runner for about five years, Bauer said he has had some injuries and illnesses that have kept him from maintaining peak physical condition.

A relatively simple improvment they can make would be giving the street cars prioirty at traffic lights. This would decrease travel times and increase schedule consistency. Is it really fair for 60 people on a streetcar to face a 2 minute delay because 1 person in a car is waiting to turn left in the shared lane?

Good for awareness , but many or even most people taking transit, aren’t able to run that far or fast and so transit fills a gap. But yeah, sometimes you need express routes that, skip the every few block type stops.
