Auth@lemmy.worldto Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•Is the number of Lemmy users increasing?English46·2 days agoIts been at a pretty consistent 50k which means we retained 25% of the users from our peak. Its 37.5k at the moment with 1.8k on piefed. There is another 18k users once NodeBB federations integrates.
Its a decent little community, enough to be self sufficient and enough for new users to feel like they arent joining a ghost town.

Why is someone buying his likeness when they can generate a random person and use that instead. Also tiktok is such a shit platform it purely exists to manipulate people.

So you are going to ignore all the examples you dont like and point to a small example of a not very successful island. There is far more capitalist countries doing better than Cuba. I’d rather 40k deaths from old age people not getting healthcare than have my government slaughter 10million civilians but whatever.

When buying leased devices the price difference is negligible. The only difference is no one wants to run support for an all mac fleet.
Auth@lemmy.worldto No Stupid Questions@lemmy.world•Why do i tip my bartender $2 per drink and per bar food order but 20% when I order food from a waitress? Am I tipping wrong?English2·2 days agoBefore covid there was a lot of inservice work that you tipped for. During covid it became a lot more digital and the tipping didnt go away so everyone realised its bullshit and stopped tipping. Once tipping culture starts infecting digital transactions you got to stop it before it infects everything.

In America its private companies banning people from their own airlines and the government only gets involved when there is crime.
Its a joke bro .I am not playing the victim or getting upset that people response to my comments. I think its good that people reply.
Auth@lemmy.worldto Technology@lemmy.world•Our Channel Could Be Deleted - Gamers NexusEnglish465·2 days agoLTT storage is excessive. He stores all his footage in full quality instead of just storing his final edited videos in a compressed format. Plus if you’re a youtuber with millions of subscribers you can afford to pay for a few TB of storage to hold and serve your videos. Its not that expensive.

POV: you said something negative about linux/communism.
Stop with this dogshit point, its embarrassing and I know you can think of something better. 40k deaths each year for 30 years still wouldnt put it in the top 10 communist massacres.
Also you are comparing a random stat of healthcare deaths to government massacres. You dont want this comparison, communism has been responsible for the starvation of millions and wild guess but they werent providing healthcare either.
