As for author from anglo america I would go with Christopher Paulini, not because his work is so good but much rather because he inspired me quite a lot: He wrote Eragon when he was like 16 or so. And I read Eragon when I was 14 or so and he really inspired me because I also enjoy writting.

For me it’s Friedrich Dürrenmatt. I love his tragic comedies and writting pholosophy: a piece is only complete, when the worst case has happened.

??? I’m no vegan but this is just complete BS and today being vegan has almost no negative impact on your health. Yes, you have to take some suplememts, but even if you eat animal products you often still need suplements.
