so, we need to do the same with the DNC. the formula is simple. hijack the primaries, shove the existing leadership out and show the Republicans what “socialism” really means.
Amen.

MLK Jr. spent nearly a decade and a half building organizations and connections for nationwide resistance.

You can care about the Palestinian genocide, while acknowledging that of the two choices you have, “No fascism at home and genocide in Palestine” and “Fascism at home and increased support for genocide in Palestine”, the former is considerably preferable, and there’s no real moral reason for letting the latter come to pass.

We tended to be quite comfortable in the way we runs things. We now have to be really up to speed with the threats,” he said.

Yes, that’s… kind of the problem.
France is doing great keeping the far right out of power and that’s literally all I care about.
The issue is that France did so by making a coalition with the left-wing - which is good!
And then immediately after the election turning around and making a coalition with the right-wing. Which is bad.
Now Macron’s centrists are in a position where they can’t offer any more concessions to the right without tanking themselves, and the left doesn’t trust them without receiving major concessions that the centrists are not willing to give.
When the next election rolls around, what are the chances, you think, of the left making an alliance with the centrists again, after doing so in good faith last time and seeing the centrists make an alliance with the right-wing after the election was over and the danger had passed?

You’re thinking of the Revolutionary War. In the US Civil War, the Second French Empire was friendly towards the Confederates, not the Union.
