These are some very wise words.
Last time I had Arch on my laptop I had a problem, where pipewire would crash if I didnt had an audio output for like 2s. So every time I wanted audio for something I had to restart it through the console.
We got satellites out of our solar system.
I may not be able to talk about Linux for a solid two hours, but I can definitely talk for two hours about my music taste, communism or warframe depending on what they want to hear the least.
I usually do it thenother way around
Its relatively easy. First of all if someone would implement a backdoor its much easier to find out, since you can look at the code directly. Second is, that a lot of people actually do this. Looking at the code of projects and searching for ways to find security holes in it.
So even if it isn’t that much more secure than closed source, its much easier to trust simply because people can search for vulnerabilities much easier.
One great example of why open source code is easier to realise backdoors would be the xz Security breach.
That one is always nice when you actually do the cleanup and then have much less files to care about.
Yeah of course I Am testing. I Am usually just not writing very extensive tests. I try to break it as much as possible with as little effort and try then to prevent it from breaking.
Ah thanks. That sounds like not that bad of an idea, but for the scale that my projects are at thus is quite an overkill. I usually try if it works in The best case sz scenario and then try to deliberately break it by calling certain functions with garbage as parameters.
What is TDD?
While I agree with you, the problem is, that it opens the door for a lot of other forms of eugenics. Once we decided that Meth users shouldn’t have kids we can quickly expand the definition of who is “allowed to have kids”. People who take LSD? Those psychopaths. Stoners? Homeless people? Black people?
It gives a certain group of people power over one of the most intimate secsectors of someone’s private life. No one can guarantee, that at some point we are not the ones being included in the definition of “unfit for parenting” simply because we have the wrong political views or something like that.
The patients sexual orientation does in fact have no influence on their health. The only groups out of the LGBTQIA+ spectrum where you have some “right to deny” healthcare may be trans and intersex people due to them having special conditions and you might not have the knowledge to treat them accordingly. For the rest you are just batshit stupid if you care that much about what people do in their private time.
Where is “changing the file type extension” in the name?
Technically yes, but theres quite a high chance that if you aren’t a corporation and would do something like this as a person they would either laugh in your face or would say “well see what we can do” while the form you just filled out already landed in the trashcan. Theres virtually no chance they would care the slightest.
