developer is completely different from designer. I’m a graphic designer, and I also do animations and videos. I use adobe illustrator, photoshop, indesign, premier; affinity designer, photo, blender. I use figma too which is good for prototyping for web or apps, but not graphic design in general. and certainly not photo editing. inb4 gimp–completely unusable for pro work.

this was one of my favorite games for a long time. i disagree that it predicted everything; i think people retroactively assign predictions to it the way they do for horoscopes.

on the contrary, i think it aged poorly, though not at all of its own fault. the problem is that it was supposed to be ridiculous—the game world is essentially the answer to “what if every conspiracy theory was true?” and it was fun to explore at the time. but after the rise of right wing conspiracy nuts and their spill into the mainstream and even governments, it doesn’t hit the same.

now it feels like what a right wing nutjob would write. again this is not at all the fault of the game, but it feels weird now because it’s like you’re playing qanon’s game.

this is sort of a similar phenomenon to Don’t Look Up, in my opinion. i believe at the time it was conceived the movie was supposed to be a ridiculous over-the-top satire, but by the time it was released the right wing went so insane that people just thought it was too on-the-nose.
