    Man, Ron should know better than this! He’s been in the biz for decades.

    How many times have you read about a classic scene that didn’t test well with audiences, yet stayed in the movie? Think we ever would have had the Alien chestburster if a group of random people voted on it?

    And never forget test audiences killing the end of I Am Legend, ruining the entire point of the plot.

    I would never have allowed Han Solo to die, but that turned out to be the perfect time.

    Engage fans in financing to jump start projects they want to see, let them vote with their wallets on continuing series, but for god’s sake don’t give them creative control.

      I think you’re missing the entire point of this plot. Power must be reclaimed from big money. It will be messy along the way.

        Yeah, but if it’s so messy it utterly fails, experiment is over. But hey, maybe even given a fail we can learn how to better move forward. That’s how it works!

        Inclined to agree, all of the above points are still currently happening by execs that just want to meddle for ego’s sake. At least let the meddling happen by people who actually give a fuck.
