    I thought this would be the case for me, but when we decided not to for our son, only one person we knew agreed with it. The crazy part is most people would start by saying something along the lines of “ooh it’s a boy, how’s it going down there?” Like they feel bad about it. But when I tell them we didn’t suddenly its all about hygiene and aesthetics.

    Also surprised at how many people asked about it…

      The hygiene thing is a myth. Yeah it can get dirty if you ignore cleaning it but no more so than any other body part. It’s basically entirely a post-hoc rationalization from people who had it done to them when they were babies and weren’t told it was because way back when some Puritan dipshits thought it might keep teenage boys from “being sinful” in their youth.

        My cousin-in-law died of an infection picked up from a medically unnecessary circumcision procedure.
